The "A" Family | De Pere Lifestyle Portrait & Wedding Photographer

happy almost Wednesday!

a couple weeks ago (the same night as Kari & Jason's engagement photo shoot) at Fonferek Glenn Park, I got the pleasure of taking photos for the "A" family. About a month ago they welcomed their first baby girl into the world!

So, we got together to take some photos :)

their baby is such a cutie pie...and such a good baby! she only cried for about 2.5 seconds in the beginning of the shoot! she just hung out with us and made some pretty cute scrunchy-baby-faces.

check out my favorites from the session:

Liz & Jesse | Married | Elkhart Lake, Wi Lifestyle Wedding & Portrait Photographer

may 28th was a gorgeous spring/almost-summer day.
the perfect day for Jesse & Liz to get married.
these two are just adorable together.

this wedding was a ton of fun because I graduated high school with Jesse AND I got to second shoot with Kim...another one of my hs classmates.

while Kim was with the girls shooting, I got to hang out with the guys.
something that I don't get to do very often.
once the guys were ready we took a pontoon boat across Elkhart Lake to the landing dock and walked a little ways to the CUTEST little chapel in Sheboygan County.
or, at least that is what I thought when I saw it!
ahhhh-dorable!

they were surrounded by about 30 of their closest family members & friends for the ceremony.
they had the ceremony taped so that once they got back to the Stop Inn Tavern (yes we were back at Siebken's! :D love that place!!) the guests that didn't attend the ceremony could watch it play back on the tv.

Jesse & Liz both love the outdoors, so their day was filled with homemade and outdoors-y things. stuff like homemade bouquets and table settings, hand crafted boutineers, and recycled paper stock!

here are some of my favorite images from the day...

on the way to the ceremony....
rowdy crowd I know ;)
yes, we walked in the middle of the road :)
and yes...that is the adorable little church!
 the beautiful bride
 the rings
this is the super cute little back building where the girls hid out until the ceremony started
the guys got pocket watches as a gift from Jesse...so needless to say...we always knew what time it was!
 waiting and walking

 sometimes...jumping photos don't go as planned :)
this is one of my absolute favorites of the day...I just love how relaxed and happy Liz looks!
another favvvvvvvv-orite. I just love the backdrop that Elkhart Lake gives!

mmmmm....caaaaakkkkeeee :) I am normally not that big of a fan of carrot cake just because it is either really gross or really good....this cake....OMG...sooooooo gooooooddd
 the dining room at Siebken's
 the table settings
hammerschlagen  certainly an interesting game to watch.
bluegrass band! loved this so much! don't get me wrong I love having a dj, but the band just gave a whole new atmosphere to the reception!
 first dance :)

Jesse & Liz, thank you so much for letting me be part of your fabulous day!! I had a great time! I hope married life treats you well :)

Kari & Jason | Engaged | Green Bay Wedding Photographer

last weekend I had the pleasure of spending Friday afternoon with Jason & Kari.
they are such a fun couple!
we were able to do some exploring at the Fonferek Glenn Park in Ledgeview.
which is just on the outskirts of De Pere.
and when I say exploring...I mean climbing rock walls, going down into ravines, through the creek, and all around the waterfall.

but...ooooh man, was it worth it!
 the views...amazing and breath taking.

it was the perfect setting for this outdoor-loving couple.
these two love to be with each other, for me being able to capture that love is an honor and a pleasure.

take a look! our entire adventure revolved around finding the waterfall the Fonferek Glenn Park is known for. we didn't exactly know where this waterfall was...so we started out by going down the ravine to see if we could find the water that runs through the park.

pretty, huh?! :D I thought so!
we ended up exploring most of the park before stumbling upon the waterfall. but I am SOOOO glad that happend that way because other wise I wouldn't have been able to capture these...
kisses in the middle of the creek...
a little walk through the woods

this is probably one of my favorites....
dancing in the middle of the creek....yes, please!!
amazing views. Kari & Jason were willing to climb up and down and all around...for this they climbed down and crossed the creek....
here they climbed up the rock pile to find the perfect seat with a gorgeous background

this is another of my favorites....we climbed up the rocks that are behind Jason to get to the top and find this view

and yes, all of the scenery is at the SAME LOCATION!! it was like heaven....all of the light and different backdrops.

we FINALLY found the waterfalls above...when we found them of course we were up on top, so once we got down to the bottom I was able to capture these...

soooooo pretty!

I just love the rock piles throughout the creek bed. they make for the best spots

after we climbed out of the ravine where the waterfall was, we stopped by the barn and fence to capture these....some more of my favorites!

I <3 old barns. a lot. like it might be a small (or large) obsession. just sayin' :)
we also went out into the grass field...which had some awesome light....
 love. this. a lot.

Kari & Jason, thank you for being an awesome couple! thank you for going on an adventure through the woods to capture these photos! it was great to spend more time with you getting to know you. I can't wait to capture your wedding!!
