Jenn & Joe | Engaged! | Milwaukee, WI Wedding & Portrait Photographer

today on the blog I have Jenn & Joe.
I met up with them back in September for their engagement photoshoot...
in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.
:))))))
I <3 the 3rd ward.
like...a lot.
there are SOOO many places and nooks and crannies to take photos.
amazing.
had it not been raining...I could have easily spent the entire day with these two

take a look at some of my favorites!

 kisses in the rain
 random fences & parking lots
probably some of my favs :)

I just love all of the old brick buildings down there
we really only walked around the block by the public market...TONS of places! and despite the rain, these two were more than happy to do whatever I asked

and what would a photoshoot in the rain be without a dip kiss in the middle of a rainy street?!? :)

Joe & Jenn,
Thank you for being such troopers in the rain! it was a blast to capture your engagement photos! I can't wait to capture your wedding day!!

believing | Personal | Wisconsin Wedding & Portrait Photographer

"don't stop believing,
hold onto that feelin'"
-journey

that is one of my favorite songs :)

I have a lengthy blog post that I had wanted to post.
but...its just not "time" for it yet.

its nothing bad...more so just me venting about a conversation that I had the other day
it sort of rattled my cage...made me mad, but also really forced me to delve in and gear up for next year (and the years to come) with this little business of mine

it's going places, believe-you-me
:)

in friday's post i'm going to have an mega-uber-sweet deal for familes, couples & anyone else in need of some "just beacuse" photos :)

and 2013 seniors...get ready...I have some deals for you too!

I can't wait :D

and because no post is good without a photo....
this little trinket has been with me to ALL of my shoots this year :)
meet my good luck charm
courtesy of one of my good friends :)
because everyone needs to know that they have someone with them believing in them at all times

enjoy your thursday :D

oooohhhh.....and ps... do something that makes you smile today :)
because it's my birthday and I call the shots today ;)

News! | Sheboygan Wedding & Portrait Photographer

well, hello! it is Thursday right now [one of my favorite days of the week because Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice are on...yea yea yea...I know...they might be sappy and soap-opera-ish but they are addicting :D] and the snow is slowly melting. which really means that it is perfect snow ball weather. Tucker LOVES the snow so we spent about 20 minutes playing snowball fetch in the snow when I got home :) or until he decided he had had enough of running after the snowballs. BUT....I just HAD to tell everyone....I am SO SO SO SO excited to say that ML Photography and Design is now on theknot.com under local Wisconsin vendors!!!! I am so excited to be taking this next step in my business adventures!

happy Thursday!

The Osinski's | Married | Milwaukee Wedding & Portrait Photographer

as I sit here typing this now the snow is beginning to fall outside. Pandora is playing Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Paramore, Luke Bryan, and a bunch of other music. strange mix...but I love it. the forecast is calling for 16-20" of the white fluffy stuff over the next couple of days. do I really WANT the snow...well, kinda sorta. I want the snow because it keeps our house warmer (weird I know...its an insulator because we don't have much in the walls...yet.) and because there is a possibility that I won't be able to get out and go to work in the morning. THAT would be awesome. I have a laundry list of a WHOLE bunch of stuff to do and an extra day off would be fabulous. somehow...I have a feeling I will still be getting up in the morning to try and brave the drive into work.
on a brighter note...I have some fabulous photos for you to look at :) these photos are from another wedding that I second shot with Kayla.this wedding was in August in Milwaukee. it was a hot and sticky out, the church was kind of dark, and the park we went to...infested with mosquitoes. but, we did get some great shots...and I have to say that the bridal party was one of the funnest of the summer. and I'm not just saying that because one of the bridesmaids looked like Katy Perry :D

 gorgeous flowers
gorgeous dress

I am seriously loving the vintage action that I have for photoshop :) I just love the way it makes this photo look
 loved these flowers! SO colorful!
more flowers

got a little captain in ya'? I think this must be a standard guy pose...or maybe its a standard Wisconsin thing.... :)
jump shot! I posted one of these photos in one of my last foto friday blogs :) I just love this series!

this may be my favorite one :)

ring details
this...is why I LOVE weddings. so much emotion & love for everyone
 first dance :)
another first dance photo...I love this one too :)
let's eat cake! and cupcakes!
 the rings...
see what I mean about fun bridal party?! they ripped up the dance floor with the grand entrance!
 love it

and last but not least...one of my fav's

such a lovely couple :) congratulations Osinski's!

hope everyone has a fantastic Monday evening :)
and let it snow!! :D:D

The Vorpagel's | Married | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

This was another wedding that I was able to second shoot with the fabulous Kayla, of Kayla Richards Photography. It was a fabulous day in Milwaukee, a little on the warm side, but very nice out none-the-less.

First things first...we got to the hotel to catch some photos of the girls getting ready :)

The dress was absolutely gorgeous! I love the detail in the back :D

Next we headed over to the church...which was pretty amazing as well!

Before the ceremony I was able to snap some flower shots...again...the colors were SO bright and vibrant!

Husband & Wife! :D This is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day.

so excited to finally be married!

After the wedding we went to a cute little park for some bridal party & couple photos. This is my other favorite time of the day. Especially with just the couple. It is a great time for the couple to relax for a few minutes and take in the day so far.

Then it was off to the reception for dinner, dancing and fun!

The reception was at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Milwaukee. It was also a really beautiful venue. The reception was Hawaiian themed. So each table was named after beaches on the islands of Hawaii.
cocktail hour festivities :)

Congratulations Melissa and Dave!! It was a pleasure to be there to share your day :)
