A Day at the Barn

A couple weeks ago I helped some of the kids in the 4-H photography project take some pictures. So, since all the kids that I was helping are all in the Horse and Pony Project as well we decided that to go out the barn where they keep thier horses. While I was there I was snapping pictures away and happend to take this one:

Apparently Lily (the dog) chases the rooster around ALL the time. And, tries to "herd" the chickens. I have to admit its pretty funny to watch!

Heather and Branden | Married

On June 26th Mike, Christin, Tamera and I made the long journey up to Hinckley, MN where our friends Heather and Branden were getting married. We met up our other friend Maggie before the wedding so that we could all sit together. Christin, Heather, Maggie and I met in college...we all lived on the same floor our freshman year! It was SO great to celebrate Heather and Branden's special day. Here are some favorites of mine from the day:

I was so happy for Maggie and John when she told me that they were getting married. So, the big day came (May 30th, 2009) and I got to take some awesome photos! Congratulations Maggie and John!!

News!

Well, it has been quite some time since I last updated. Sorry. Really, I am. I have been SUPER busy...which I suppose is a good thing. First and foremost ML Photography and Design is officially an LLC =D and I am the proud owner of it!!! SO, I know what's on everyone's mind...what have I been soooo busy with?! Well, I have been busy getting all the photos ready to go up on the site and making sure that the site and all of the links work. Which, is a lot of work. My computer man (aka best boyfriend ever =D) Mike has been helping me to make sure that I am not messing things up and making things crash and burn. I have also been busy taking more pictures. This summer should be tons of fun with horse shows, weddings and some senior portriats mixed in there. Horse show season has officially begun and I am the photographer for 2 of the county 4-H shows, one of which is a 2-day show. I AM PUMPED!! Most of you might not know this but I showed horses at the 4-H and state 4-H level for about 10 years, so it holds a spot near and dear to my heart. I am also gearing up for three weddings this summer. One of which is this weekend. And yes, I will get those photos up here; some on the blog and others in an album on the website. SO, all of you loyal readers out there (and by the way....whom ever you are THANK YOU for reading this and following me...I appreciate it more than you will ever know!! Well, I must be going. More editing and hopefully some posting!!! Please stay tuned as the site will get more lovely photos within the next week or so!! =)

Wow, I can't believe that it is the last week in January already. Time really seems to fly. There hasn't been too much going on lately other than work. At least the days are beginning to get longer, which means...yay! its light out for more than an hour after I get home! Hopefully soon I'll be able to get outside without it being dark. Anyway, here are a couple from a few days ago. We were outside digging out Mike's trailer. Tucker thought it was pretty fun! Enjoy!

A New Year.

So, I know. It's been a while. Well, things got pretty busy for me at work. Which, in this economy is excellent. Maybe not for my sleeping schedule...but it helped me with christmas so that's good. It was nice to finally have a decent challenge at work. I got asked to help with a couple big training sessions for our customers on a couple different machines. I never thought that I would know how a diaper was made. So I got to learn all about our processes and products. So, for a while I was working 50 hour weeks =/ yuk. But we got the job done!

So now, since its a new year, time to start over and get ready for some photos =) the photos today are from Decemeber.

The first one is from Christmas day. Mike and I were on our way to his uncle's house in Madison and we got behind that car...with that license plate. Needless to say it had us chuckling for until we got to Madison!!!

The second photo is of Tucker and one of his new toys.

The third is a photo from one of our big December snow falls. The photo was taken at Settler's Park in Sheboygan Falls.

And, the fourth photo is Tucker again. He was posing really cute one afternoon when I came home from work!
