gooooooood afternoon

yay for Friday,

and for spring weather!

woo!!! it is 60* today!

yessss...there is hope for no snow on our wedding day :D

which...by the way...is only 22 days away!

dang.

that is not long. 

i am SOOOO excited for it tho :D

[and excited to stop planning for it.] shhhh don't tell :D ;)

anyway. spring is here. and I am excited.

because that means wedding season is here as well.

in 2 [short] weeks I am shooting my second wedding of the year.

I am so excited to spend some more time with Ashely and Tim!

they were so much fun to hang out with. this time we get to hang out in Chippewa Falls, WI for the day.

Tucker is excited for spring too...because the squirrels are back in the yard for him to chase.

I'm pretty sure he thinks that they should squeak like his stuffed squirrel toy does hehe

today's foto friday is of something that I have been dreaming up for a while now. 

it's the packaging for my client's discs.

before I would put a nice label on the disc and then put it in a jewel case.

you know...one of those clear ones.

it looks nice, yea.

but I wanted more.

after a whole mess of searching and researching...

I think so.

the envelope on the left has the disc of photos and a piece of paper explaining how to use the disc. 

and the right hand side has a photo.

I just looooooove the these. 

they are hand made AND even made in the USA. :D

then they go in a cute little box, get wrapped up, and sent to the client.

I'm pretty sure I would love to get one of these :D

happy Saturday!

I know, I know...

late.

I have a REALLY good reason..

like...epic.

Mike came home last night :D

see...he's been gone for a week on business soooo I decided it was much more important to spend time with him...

and watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1...

than to blog :)

so its another rainy dreary day here.

I am getting impatient mother nature...I would like some nice warm days.

then the flowers will grow.

and photos will be much prettier.

anyway...this week's foto friday is of some stuff that I made for the guys and girls for my own wedding party.

These were so easy and fun to make!

p.s. -- thanks Sara for helping me make these :D:D

the flowers are for the girls' hair and the boutineers are for the guys. 

and to tie them both together, the guys will be wearing blue ties (to match the blue in the flower) and the girls will have yellow jewelery.

I can't believe how close our wedding is! crazy how fast time flies sometimes!

Carlie & Rory, Guest Book | Sheboygan Wedding & Portrait Photographer

I just want to say one thing...

I am SOOO excited that spring is here!

I can't wait for thunderstorms, pretty flowers, and lots of photo sessions :D

Tonight I have, for your viewing pleasure, Carlie & Rory's guest book. 

Let me tell you this, I LOVE it when a couple chooses a guest book! it is such a unique spin on the traditional...sign your name, address, and date on the dotted line. boring. these add pizzaz and spunk :D 

plus everyone gets to see more of the couple's engagement photos.

 

 

 Guest books are 20 pages long and have hinged pages. They open like a magazine, but lay flat. These make great coffee table books and centerpieces for guests (house & wedding) to look at. I love them because they are so customizable. Each book is tailored to each individual client. It is such a great way to showcase photos! oppss...its Sunday again :)

I had this post all ready to go on Friday with this photo....

this is our new upstairs bathroom.

mike did all of the work himself....well I helped with the painting :D ...but the rest is all him 

it will be done soon...yay! one room down...and a bunch more to go :D

so why didn't I post this photo on Friday?? well...because I kinda forgot to hit publish post when I was done. lol...yea it was one of those Fridays. 

but...that means there are 2 photos in this post because today it was in the 70's! yay! summer is on the way! the flowers are blooming....these little ones are in the front yard

there are so many things that I wanted to write in this post. I know its actually Monday and not Friday. Friday Mike and I were able to just hang out, have a nice dinner, and a few drinks. just hang out. not something that we have been able to do lately because we have been running here and there...sometimes with and sometimes without the other, and finishing this or that, and meetings running late at work or having to start work earlier and work longer hours. sigh. but! today we both have off so that we can be at home and veg out. and in reality we aren't doing much veg-ing...I am writing this blog post and he is cutting tiles to put down in our new bathroom. oh well, such is life I suppose. 

this week's foto friday is of our yard...which is looking kinda gross right now. except for the fact that the flower buds are starting to bloom :) so excited for the tulips to come up

flower buds and grass...so excited for green grass again (which...right now is really just a whole mess of mudddddd) :D
